Maca (Root)Lepidium meyenii
also known as “Peruvian Ginseng”, Maca is a rare vegetable grown from 4,000 m-high south of Peru, where nothing else grows. Considered as a sacred plant by the Incas given its wonderful nourishing properties and its ability to prosper in poorest environments, Maca is used to cure menopause inconveniences thanks to its pharmacological wealth. In addition to its moisturising properties, Maca Root reveals complexion natural glow thanks to its toning and vascular-protecting properties

Macadamia (Oil)Macadamia ternifolia
Macadamia tree is a Proteacea tree growing in the tropical forests of Queensland, Australia, it was discovered in 1857 by Ferdinand von Mueller, who called it “Macadamia” in honour of his philosopher friend John Macadam. This evergreen tree can reach 20 m-high and its fruit (containing a nut) is collected when falling to the ground. The oil we use is derived from Macadamia Nut. This dry and odourless oil is easily absorbed by skin. It contains 80% mono-unsaturated fatty acids and high concentrations of palmitoleic and palmitic acid. The essential fatty acids contained in this plant oil are closest to human sebum. Macadamia Oil strengthens the hydro-lipidic film and thus improves skin moisturising. It protects cells, increases skin elasticity while nourishing and soothing it.

Magnesium Aspartate
Magnesium Aspartate is a molecule containing Magnesium (trace elements) and Aspartate (sugar). Magnesium (anti-stress) stimulates cell metabolism and Aspartate improves this action favouring Magnesium assimilation into the body. This combination is a new energy source for cells and provides intense freshness.
NUXE filed a patent on Magnesium Aspartate for its relaxing, de-stressing and refreshing action.

MamakuCyathea medullaris
Mamaku is a Cyatheacea tall fern that only grows in New Zealand and in the Southern Pacific Islands. Maoris used Mamaku to speed up cuts healing. It is a powerful tissue regenerating agent and acts as dermis densifyer. Its polysaccharide concentration with a major molecular mass ensures formation of a moisturising surface film.

Mango (Butter)Irvengia gabonensis
Mango tree belongs to the Anacardiaceous family and can grow up to 15 m-high. It has sweet-scented, slender shiny leaves and tiny blooms. Its fruit, Mango, which may be of various sizes and shapes has a waxy smooth skin and is yellow-green to orange-red, with a big central stone. Mango Butter which is extracted from such stone, is rich in triglycerides (myristic and lauric acids, sterols and tocopherols) and thus protects skin barrier. It is an excellent emollient that restores skin original elasticity and softness while preventing dehydration.

Marrow (Seeds)Cucurbita pepo
also referred to as Pumpkin, Marrow is a Cucurbitaceous annual plant with lobed leaves, yellow blooms and large orange fruit. The Mayas would use to apply fruit flesh on burns, while Menominee Indians employed its seeds as a diuretic. Settlers used to crush and mix them with water, milk and honey as a vermifuge.
NUXE uses Marrow Seed Oil to matify complexion and regulate sebum excess.

Matrixyl®
biotechnological micro-protein consisting in a sequence of 5 bio-mimetic amino acids naturally reproducing the terminal section of type I collagen. Matrixyl® stimulates production of types I, IV and VII collagen and Glycosaminoglycans in order to “rebuild” skin where wrinkles have settled. It naturally works at the very core of the epidermis, “waking up” cells and stimulating synthesis of the main epidermis and dermis support structures. It enhances natural restoration of the extra-cellular matrix. The dermo-epidermal junction is straightened, skin regains “muscle” from within. NUXE filed a patent for the exclusive combination of Matrixyl® and Siegesbeckia.

Cucurbitaceous climbing annual plant that produces large round fruit which contains 95% water, mucilage and vitamins (A, B and C). It has softening and moisturising properties, and restores skin ability to retain water in order to regain suppleness and elasticity.

Moringa (Oil)Moringa pterygosperma
Moringacea tree with cork-like bark, fragrant flowers and long pods containing oily seeds. Coming from Arabia and India, African populations use its leaves as seasoning in couscous and its crushed root and seeds are used to purify drinking water. Extracted from seeds, oil has healing and toning properties.

Moth Bean (Seeds)Vigna aconitifolia
10 to 30 cm-long creeping herb from India and particularly resistant to droughts. Proteins extracted from its seeds stimulate epidermis cell regeneration.

Mourera FluviatilisMourera fluvialtilis
Podostemacea aquatic plant from French Guiana that grows in turbulent rivers and resists to most difficult conditions by clinging to rocks. During the dry season, when water level is low, the plant undergoes deep-lying changes through which it can survive during these times of environmental stress.
Mourera Fluviatilis extract used by NUXE is combined with hydro-regulating elements (amino acids, sucrose, constituents of NMF). This combination provides skin with hydro-regulating action (maintains skin water levels), moisture-binding activity (improves skin ability to retain water), long-lasting moisturising (strengthens mechanical protection properties of the horny layer) and anti-drying effects (reduces water loss). Mourera Fluviatilis is therefore a new-generation naturally-derived moisturiser able to maintain a humid microclimate on skin surface for many hours.

Murumuru (Butter)Astrocaryum murumuru
Arecacea palm tree that can be 10 m-high, widespread in the Amazon basin. Fruit butter has an emollient action on skin and forms a thin protective barrier that moisturises and retains skin water.
